   With over two decades experience in the K–12 and institutional landscape, she has led and transformed education systems.​ From launching the first community school in Memphis, to leading high-performing campuses and mentoring new administrators. She has consistently championed a whole-child, whole-school approach to education transformation.​

At KIPP, Dr. Mitchell served as Principal, leading culture, instruction, and whole-child initiatives during the network’s expansion from a single campus to a full K–12 model.

In Frisco ISD, Dr. Mitchell collaborated on curriculum writing, presented classroom best practices at the district Behavioral Symposium, and facilitated professional learning sessions for district PD days.

In 2024, Dr. Mitchell presented original research on teacher burnout at the Mid-South Educational Research Association (MSERA) Annual Meeting.
